Jerusalem Congress Research Forum
Research Submission Guidelines and Evaluation Criteria
The Jerusalem Congress Research Forum welcomes submissions from researchers across the Arab world and the international scientific community. The forum promotes scientific excellence, innovation, and evidence-based research in dentistry, with a special emphasis on advancing knowledge in Orofacial Pain and Dental Sleep Medicine.
The Research Forum provides an international platform for clinicians, academicians, researchers, postgraduate trainees, and dental students to present high-quality scientific work that contributes to improving dental diagnosis, treatment, and patient care.
Scientific Scope:
The Scientific Committee welcomes original research, systematic reviews, clinical studies, and innovative case series in the following dental disciplines and related fields:
- Oral Medicine
- Prosthodontics
- Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics
- Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
- Periodontology
- Implant Dentistry
- Pediatric Dentistry
- Endodontics
- Oral Radiology and CBCT Applications
- Digital Dentistry
- Artificial Intelligence in Dentistry
- Craniofacial Growth and Airway Development
- Chronic Mouth Breathing and Airway Disorders

- Orofacial Pain (OFP)
- Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD)
- Sleep-Disordered Breathing (SDB) and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)
- Mandibular Advancement Devices (MADs)
- Sleep and Awake Bruxism
Although the congress focuses primarily on Orofacial Pain and Dental Sleep Medicine, submissions from all dental specialties are encouraged, particularly those demonstrating interdisciplinary relevance and clinical innovation.
General Submission Requirements
Original and unpublished research, accepted for publication, or published in a peer-reviewed journal within the past two years is eligible.
Abstracts must be submitted in English.
Studies involving human participants must have appropriate ethical approval where applicable.
Authors must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest. If none exist, include the statement:
“The authors declare no conflicts of interest.”
Abstract Structure
Abstracts should be organized under the following headings:
- Background
- Objectives
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
Accepted abstracts will be presented as either:
- Oral Presentation
- Poster Presentation
- Electronic Poster (E-Poster)
The presentation format will be determined by the Scientific Committee.
Evaluation Criteria
Each abstract will undergo independent peer review based on:
- Scientific and methodological quality.
- Originality and innovation.
- Clinical significance and relevance to dentistry.
- Clarity and quality of presentation.
- Overall contribution to dental science and clinical practice
Jerusalem Research Prize
To recognize outstanding scientific achievement and encourage excellence in dental research, the Jerusalem Research Prize will be awarded to the three highest-ranked research presentations as selected by the Scientific Committee.
🥇 First Prize: USD $1,000 + Certificate of Excellence
🥈 Second Prize: USD $500 + Certificate of Excellence
🥉 Third Prize: USD $300 + Certificate of Excellence
The Jerusalem Research Prize reflects the Congress’s commitment to advancing high-quality research, fostering innovation across all fields of dentistry, and supporting researchers whose work contributes to improving oral health, Orofacial Pain, Dental Sleep Medicine, and interdisciplinary dental care. Graduation Project Submission Requirements
The Scientific Committee invites undergraduate students to submit their graduation projects for competition during the 6th International Congress & Research Forum in Orofacial Pain & Sleep-Disordered Breathing.
To be eligible for the Graduation Project Competition and compete for one of the three awards, submissions must meet the following requirements:
- The project must be original and completed by undergraduate students.
- The project topic must fall within one of the scientific themes of the conference.
- The project must be submitted in English.
- Accepted projects may be presented as an oral presentation (and may also poster or e-poster), as determined by the Scientific Committee.
- All submissions will be evaluated by an independent review panel based on the following criteria:
- Scientific quality
- Originality and innovation
- Clinical relevance
- Methodological rigor
- Quality of presentation
